1. YOU ARE LOST! - The Bible plainly tells
us that our sin separates us from God. You are not alone, for the Bible says
“there is none righteous, no, not one (Romans 3:10b).”
-For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God –
Roman 3:23.
2. ALL DESERVE HELL! – The Bible shows how
the fallen world has refused a righteous God and has chosen the path to Hell.
God sends nobody to Hell, we decided with our rebellion to go there ourselves.
-For the wages of sin is death… (Romans 6:23a)
3. GOD PROVIDED FOR OUR SALVATION – Romans
6:23 starts by showing our deserved death in Hell. However, the next word is
the most glorious word God could use, the word “but,” giving us another way.
-…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ
our Lord (Romans 6:23b).
4. WE ARE SAVED BY FAITH – We cannot save
ourselves, it is a gift of God by sending His son to die on the cross, the just
for the unjust, as a punishment for our sins.
-If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and
shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the
dead, thou shalt be saved. (Romans 10:9).
